All nomination papers need to be obtained from and submitted to the county auditor/election office. The office is located at 120 2nd Ave, Suite A in Des Moines. Voter Registration
Windsor Heights residents are required to register with the Polk County Election Office in order to vote in Windsor Heights elections. This may be done by filling out and mailing a voter's registration card. You can also register to vote in person at your polling location.
Where Do I Vote?
The only polling location in the City of Windsor Heights is located at the Windsor Heights Lutheran Church, located at 1240 66th St. The Polk County Election Office will be open for in-person early voting before an election. Voter intimidation is Illegal under both State and Federal Law. According to the US Dept of Justice, voter intimidation is conduct intended to compel prospective voters to vote against their preference or to not vote at all, through activity that is reasonably calculated to instill fear.
