On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, officers with the Windsor Heights Police Department arrested two juveniles in relation to a recent auto theft investigation.  During the subsequent investigation, officers identified the pair as suspects in several recent auto burglaries and prowler calls throughout the City of Windsor Heights.  The auto burglary and prowler cases include incidents spanning from May of 2018 through August of 2018.  The cases against the two juveniles will be forwarded to the Juvenile Court System.

Residents of Windsor Heights are reminded to remove valuables from vehicles, secure their vehicles, and secure their residences as well as any outbuildings or outdoor storage areas.  In addition, residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity.  Most of the auto burglary cases reported in the City result from vehicles being left unlocked, which makes easy targets for those wishing to unlawfully enter the vehicles.  Alert neighbors often help officers identify suspicious activity and those calls frequently lead to solved cases.  The Windsor Heights Police Department encourages our residents to collaborate with us in an effort to reduce crime through community partnerships.
