[ARCHIVED] 4/15/20 COVID-19 Update

4-15 covid update

The City of Windsor Heights remains committed to providing timely, relevant, and useful information for our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this continued effort, we wanted to share a couple of additional resources with you today.

First, if you need assistance with interpreters to get information about the COVID-19 virus, or have questions requiring varied languages, you can visit https://www.polkcountyiowa.gov/health/programs/covid-19/communication-resources-in-different-languages/ for information related to the Iowa Multi-lingual COVID-19 phone line. This is yet another valuable resource provided by the Polk County Health Department to help ensure everyone has access to information and education while working through the pandemic.

Also, a financial town hall style question and answer session was hosted by KCCI last night. You can watch the event on KCCI’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/20435490078/videos/2526431770953308/. Several great questions were answered during the event related to financial planning and financial resources.

Finally, not related to COVID-19, a reminder several street construction projects have kicked off in Windsor Heights this week. As a result of the University Avenue project, commercial truck traffic for eastbound University between 73rd and 70th has been restricted due to reduced driving lane availability in the area. We will be posing weekly updates on these projects on our website as well as on our social media every Friday. We appreciate your understanding and patience as the construction begins to impact some travel through the City.
