[ARCHIVED] 5/15/20 Road Project Update

4/10/20 Road Project Update

69th Street

For the week of May 18th, the Contractor will begin work on storm sewer installation along with working at the intersection of School Street and 69th Street preparing the roadway for pavement. We plan to get that intersection completed and opened back up in the coming weeks.

Please remember to place garbage, recycling and yard waste out at the end of your driveway by 5 PM Thursday for the contractor to pick up. Pick up times are different for each item, so they may not be returned at the same time. The contractor may be working on Saturdays throughout the project to keep the project on schedule.

College Drive

For the week of May 18th, the Contractor will continue installing storm sewer on Phase 1 west of the bridge. MidAmerican Energy has workers onsite doing utility work on gas services and mains. All work is weather dependent.

Please remember to place garbage, recycling and yard waste out at the end of your driveway by 5 PM Thursday for the contractor to pick up. Pickup times are different for each item, so they may not be returned at the same time. Temporary mailboxes will be used until the street is open to traffic. Another reminder, please remove any items located within the street right-of-way (10-12 feet from back of curb) that you want salvaged. The Contractor will not be salvaging any items.

University Avenue

During the week of May 18th, the Contractor will finish pouring concrete on Phase 1A along with sidewalk installation and restoration. All work is weather dependent. For everyone’s safety, monitor traffic control changes and no texting while driving. Watch for construction workers and added construction truck traffic. Do NOT follow trucks into work zone.
