[ARCHIVED] 4/6/20 COVID-19 Update

4-6 COVID-19 update

The City of Windsor Heights thanks you all for continuing to be vigilant in social distancing procedures and remaining at home whenever possible. The State of Iowa continues to see rising numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths, and the best way to prevent the spread of this virus is by adhering to the restrictions put in place and designed to keep us all healthy.

Today, Governor Reynolds implemented additional closures which mainly center around those areas prone to gatherings or those which she feels are less necessary at this point. These additional closures are effective at 8:00 am on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 and include malls; tobacco or vaping stores; toy, gaming, music, instrument, movie, or adult entertainment stores; social and fraternal clubs, including those at golf courses; bingo halls, bowling alleys, pool halls, arcades, and amusement parks; museums, libraries, aquariums, and zoos; race tracks and speedway; roller or ice skating and skate parks; outdoor or indoor playgrounds or children’s play centers; and campgrounds. In addition, all unsolicited door-to-door sales are prohibited.

We understand everyone is getting a bit anxious, especially after being home for such a long period of time, but these restrictions are in place to help slow the spread of the virus so we can all get back to normal life as quickly as possible. Please comply with all restrictions in place and avoid any group activities. If you can stay home, please do so.
