The Windsor Heights Foundation is proud to announce its line-up for the 2017 Windsor Heights Music in the Park Concert Series. Ten free, family-oriented concerts are planned for Colby Park, 6900 School Street, beginning June 13, 2017. Bob Dorr of The Blue Band, will open the series. Food trucks and local vendors will add to the fun for all. All concerts are planned for Tuesday nights, starting at 7 p.m. In addition to free admission to each concert, the Windsor Heights Lions Club will serve free snow cones; and the Windsor Heights Foundation will be popping fresh popcorn. Music in the Park is being underwritten by donors to the Windsor Heights Foundation, along with the Windsor Heights Lions Club, a grant from the Prairie Meadows Betterment Foundation Fund, with in-kind support from the City of Windsor Heights.
If bad weather is forecast, check the Windsor Heights Foundation website at www.windsorheightsfoundation.org , or our Facebook site for band updates and cancellation questions. Donations to the Windsor Heights Foundation will be gratefully accepted at any time and can be made online at the website.
Keep Windsor Heights Beautiful will host a plant exchange at the Music in the Park on June 13th. Bring your extra outdoor plants in pots or plastic bags and exchange them for free plants to add to your yard. Experienced Windsor Heights gardeners will be at the plant table to answer questions about
growing flowers, vegetables and native plants.
