Officer Amanda Woods
Officer Amanda Woods, a veteran Windsor Heights Police Officer, is our Traffic & Community Safety Coordinator. This position focuses specifically on all manners of traffic safety, crime prevention, community training and outreach. Officer Woods is available to speak to schools or community groups about a variety of topics, including: child ID programs, child passenger safety, bicycle and vehicle safety, automated enforcement, safety in schools and neighborhoods, security audits, graffiti and crime control, Rape Aggression Defense (RAD), crime free multi-housing and many other areas of interest.

Officer Woods began her criminal justice career in 2002 as correctional officer for The State of Ohio Correctional Treatment Facility. In 2005 Officer Woods attended the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and began service as a Deputy Sheriff with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Officer Woods joined the Windsor Heights Police Department in 2006.
