May 18^th, 2009 REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING AGENDA

1.            Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance.

2.            Approval of the Agenda.

3.            Good of the Order.

4.            Approval of the Minutes:

·         May 4^th, 2009 City Council minutes both published and unabridged versions.

5.            Public Comment.  This is an opportunity for any citizen to come forward and discuss any item that is not listed on the Agenda. (Please limit presentation from 2 to 5 minutes.) 

6.            Approval of the Consent Agenda.

 All items listed below are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion.   There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered after the other items listed on the Agenda.

(a)   Move date of public hearing of public hearing for FY 2009 Budget Amendment from May 18^th at 5:15 p.m. to May 20th at 4:45 p.m.

(b)  Set date of public hearing for the city abandoning a portion of roadway and selling land located directly west of 69th Street and Mott on May 20th at 4:45 p.m.

(c)   Approval of Bridge Inspection and Rating Program proposal for 2009 with Calhoun-Burns and Associates

(d)  Progress Payment No 1 for the 68^th Street/Colby Park Sewer Relief Sewer project in the amount of $77,059.25 to Machin LC Excavating.

(e)   Approval of Settlement Agreements with Walmart regarding tobacco violations.

(f)   Approval of April report for Police.

(g)  Claims and Payroll.

7.            Approval of liquor license requests

    (a) Stix Pool & Dart Emporium.

8.            Consideration of Resolution Approving a request for qualifications for planning services for the Hickman Road Corridor Streetscaping Plan.

9.         Council member comments.

10.         Mayor’s inquiries.
