4. Approval of the Minutes:

• April 19th, 2010 City Council minutes both published and unabridged versions.

5. Public Comment. This is an opportunity for any citizen to come forward and discuss any item that is not listed on the Agenda. (Please limit presentation from 2 to 5 minutes.)

6. Approval of the Consent Agenda.
All items listed below are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered after the other items listed on the Agenda.

(a) March Investments, Treasurer and Clerks Report
(b) Claims and Payroll.

7. Consideration of Progress payment number 10 to Prostruct in the amount of $125,670.41

8. Public hearing for property conveyance (vacated street and right-of-way at 69th and Mott Street) subsequent to Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation and consideration of resolution taking appropriate action to convey said property.

9. Consideration of resolution acting on the Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation to approve the Cowles School Site plan. Representatives from the Des Moines School District will be here to present the site plan and answer questions. (Please note, this item has been delayed until the May 17th, 2010 Council Meeting) 

10. Consideration of resolution approving appliance purchase for the new community center for $30,723.50.

11. Consideration of Resolution approving the purchase of planters for the community center and seasonal change out in the amount of $11,930.

12. Consideration of a resolution approving a 28M agreement with DART.

13. Update from Chief Cross regarding the Windsor Heights-Urbandale-Clive Fire Training Facility.

14. Staff updates, if any.

15. Council member comments.

16. Mayor’s inquiries.
