VOTER REGISTRATION – NEW & CHANGES

ELECTRONIC VOTER REGISTRATION:

Voters can also register to vote and make any changes to their voter registration electronically by using the Electronic Voter Registration system through the Iowa DOT.  You will need to have an Iowa driver’s license or identification card to be able to use this system.

ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS:

We are unable under Iowa Law to mail absentee ballots without the request form that includes the original signature by the voter.  http://www.polkcountyiowa.gov/media/174338/absenteeballot.pdf

OVERSEAS MILITARY AND CITIZENS

The exception to this rule is from our overseas military personnel and citizens – they should use the federal voting assistance program site (FVAP) for best results: https://www.fvap.gov/
