Movies in the Park — WH Chamber of Commerce

A Thank You to Our 2020 Sponsors

On behalf of the Movies in the Park Committee, we would like to take a moment to thank a few very important people and businesses that helped make these events so successful.

Being able to share these classic movies with all of you on the big screen would not be possible without our Presenting Sponsor Bolton & Menk. They covered the licensing costs for the entire season for us and we cannot thank them enough for all that they do to help make Windsor Heights the amazing city it is.

Movies in the Park was something that Councilmember Joseph Jones wanted to restore in the City. He reached out to The Windsor Heights Foundation, The Windsor Heights Chamber of Commerce, and Councilwoman Susan Skeries, and a committee was formed.

At each event, we coordinated sponsors to provide pizza and beverages for attendees. Thank you to the following sponsors.

Pizza Sponsors

  • Colby Interests
  • Lauren Campbell Photography
  • Louisa Dykstra with Norwex
  • A New Look Exteriors
  • Citizens for Threase Harms
  • The Windsor Heights Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you to Chamber member Marco’s Pizza for running our pizza down to the park for us.

Beverage Sponsors

  • Councilwoman Susan Skeries
  • Lauren Campbell Photography
  • Mayor Dave Burgess

Popcorn Sponsor

  • The Windsor Heights Foundation

Thank you to David Swartz for making the supplies and equipment available to our team.

Huge shoutout to everyone who helped to promote our events through social media, especially Whitney and Chief McCluskey with the City of Windsor Heights.

Covid didn’t stop us from finishing out the Movie Nights. We moved to the Pavillon and with that brought some challenges Thank you to Darren Fife, Jason Walsmith, James Thompson, Lauren Campbell, Darren Skeries, Chief McCluskey, Nathan Barnes, and Austin Smith for all of the hard work, troubleshooting, and equipment to make it possible.

Thank you to the Windsor Heights PoliceDepartment for ensuring everyone's safety and Windsor Heights Fire Department for taking the time to swing through with the fire truck and ambulance for the kids.

We look forward to 2021 and another round of classic movies to be shown in Colby Park. To get your business involved or volunteer please contact Edye Beckerman at Director@windsorheightschamber.com.

Respectfully,

Edye Beckerman, Executive Director of the Windsor Heights Chamber on behalf of Committee members Lauren Campbell, Councilwoman Susan Skeries, and Councilmen Joseph Jones
