NOVEMBER 7, 2011 REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING AGENDA

(Note: This meeting was originally scheduled to be held at 6900 School Street because the Citizen of the Year reception was to be held there, but the reception has been rescheduled to a date in the Spring.)

1. Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Approval of the Agenda.

3. Good of the Order.

• Hector Arias offers thanks to the community for support during military deployment
• Christine Gordon from the Metro Home Improvement Program will give an update

4. Approval of the Minutes:
• October 11th, 2011 City Council study session minutes both published and unabridged versions.
• October 17th, 2011 City Council minutes both published and unabridged versions.

5. Public Comment. This is an opportunity for any citizen to come forward and discuss any item that is not listed on the Agenda. (Please limit presentation from 2 to 5 minutes.)

6. Approval of the Consent Agenda.
All items listed below are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered after the other items listed on the Agenda.

(a) Set Date of public hearing for FY 2012 Budget Amendment #1 on December 5th at 6:00 pm.
(b) Consideration of pay estimate #5 to Corell for the Hickman Road project in the amount of $256,213.56.
(c) Consideration of pay estimate #1 to Concrete Technologies for the Washington/73rd Street project in the amount of $26,350.58 and change order #1 in the amount of $5,951.
(d) September Fire and Rental Report
(e) September Clerk and Investment Report
(f) Claims and Payroll.

7. Consideration of resolution approving the purchase of an EMS drug inventory management machine, ambulance locks, Fobs, software, pagers and office furniture.
• Fiscal Impact: $19,882.64 (Note: The budgets for FIRE/EMS Capital equipment is $25,000 for FY 12.)

8. Discussion and consideration of a resolution approving a Hickman Road Visioning proposal.
• Fiscal Impact: $15,800-$30,000, depending on which company is selected

9. Final Reading of Ordinance 11-12, revisions to Chapter 167: Zoning Code--Use Type revising restaurant definitions and changing use types. Final reading.
• Fiscal Impact: None
